How do you feel about your birthday? Do you look forward to it and remind all your friends, or do you dread it and try to keep it a secret?
I'm usually pretty obnoxious about my birthday, sprinkling liberal reminders about it everywhere for about a month before it arrives. Last year, though, I didn't - I didn't dread it, but it didn't seem quite so special anymore. I guess I've truly reached the age where one more year really doesn't make a huge difference.
What do you do with the cards and letters you receive? Do you keep them all, just keep the photos, throw them away?

I have two boxes of them under my desk: One is of cards to me and Benn, and one is of cards and mementos that are just mine.
Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there?
I spent New Year's Eve with some of the people I love the very most: Benn, Kyle, Leanne, Andrea, and the kidlets. Unfortunately, I haven't quite succeeded in my plan to herd all of my friends and family into residing in the same city, so many more were left out. Now get your butts to Seattle so it doesn't happen again.

Every morning, usually around nine-ish, I crawl out of bed, pull on some pajamas or a bathrobe, and stumble down the hall to the living room....

I think Spencer here has the right idea. In fact, this is very close to what I am doing right now. (Same dog, same pillow, same couch - new blanket though.)
